How long are the sessions?

Sessions are typically offered in 60-minute and 90-minute formats. You’ll see specific duration options at booking time.

 

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable with. Alex uses professional draping techniques, so your privacy is maintained throughout the session.

 

Is massage painful?

Massage should be therapeutic, not painful. You may feel pressure in tight areas, but Alex adjusts techniques and intensity based on your comfort.

 

How do I book?

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand life gets in the way. 24 hours’ notice is encouraged and appreciated.

Is pregnancy massage safe?

Yes. Alex is trained specifically in pregnancy and postnatal massage techniques to ensure safe, supportive care for mothers–to-be.

 

What are the benefits of pregnancy massage?

Pregnancy massage may help reduce:

  • Back pain

  • Hip and pelvic discomfort

  • Swelling and fluid retention

It also supports relaxation and wellbeing throughout all three trimesters, benefiting mother-baby connection, reduce anxiety and improved sleep.

 

How will I be positioned during pregnancy massage?

You will be comfortably supported with pillows, bolsters and a Denton's pregnancy pillow while in the side-lying position. Depending on the pregnancy and individual choice during the first trimester, lying on your front and back can be supported with adequate pillows and table positioning.

When can I have a postnatal massage?

Many women can book postnatal massage once they feel physically ready after birth. For caesarean births or special conditions, it is recommended to wait 6 weeks and to consult your healthcare provider first with a medical clearance.

Is hot stone massage suitable for everyone?

Most clients benefit from hot stone massage, but conditions such as cardiovascular issues or temperature sensitivity may make it unsuitable for some. It’s always best to discuss with Alex beforehand.
